Property Description

Stunning Property with Shore Frontage

Enjoying one of the most commanding views on the West Coast of Scotland, the sale of Baldovy offers a truly unique opportunity, to purchase a charming, detached coastal property with detached garage, located on a private peninsula. Set in around 8.2 acres of land, with shore frontage, the property enjoys spectacular, far reaching views across the sea, to the Sound of Arisaig, Inner Isles and Cuillins of Skye, and benefits from direct shoreline to both the west and north. The property, which has been in the same family since being built, was lovingly created to capitalise on its location, boasting picture windows, and expansive patio doors, leading to a raised, seafront patio area. The semi open-plan living area, with vaulted ceiling, exposed wooden beams, striking Cumberland slate fireplace and multi-fuel stove, and the principal bedroom with bright, modern   en-suite, are all most attractive features. This enviable, rarely-available location in the heart of the Highlands, would make Baldovy a superb family home, idyllic holiday retreat or indeed an ideal self-catering opportunity in an extremely buoyant holiday rental market. The current owners have also indicated that they may be willing to include the furniture and garden equipment in the sale, subject to negotiation. A mooring would also be possible, close to the property.

Situated in the much sought after location of Roshven, the sale offers some of the most outstanding and unspoilt coastline scenery on the shores of Loch Ailort. This picturesque location offers plenty of outdoor activities such as sea fishing, mountaineering, diving, canoeing and sailing – both on Loch Ailort and the Sound of Arisaig. Sited just three miles from the village of Glenuig, with it’s small shop, village hall, Inn and public jetty, the land is also within some 45 minutes drive of Fort William, with it’s full range of retail and professional services. Lochailort, just 5 minutes drive away, has a hotel and a railway station with a direct, thrice daily, service to Glasgow and beyond.
