Property Description

IMPRESSIVE, DETACHED PERIOD PROPERTY WITH STUNNING LOCH VIEWS

An impressive detached period property, set in around an acre of mature, private grounds with outbuildings, located in the heart of the village of Acharacle, enjoying stunning views over Loch Shiel to Ben Resipole and the surrounding countryside.

Dating back to 1911, Belmont was originally built as the local Chapel with manse. Converted in recent years to one large property, Belmont retains character and charm with a modern twist.

The sale could essentially offer the potential to have two independent properties under one roof or indeed, a superb family home as currently used.

Property Description

Located centrally in the charming village of Acharacle, with direct views to Loch Shiel, this delightful period property dates back to 1911 and once formed the local Chapel with detached manse. It is believed that the Chapel was then converted to a dwellinghouse in around the 1930’s, forming then two detached properties. The current owners purchased both properties and architecturally connected them to create one stunning home.

Belmont offers a superb mix of traditional and modern features and, due to the flexible accommodation available, can essentially provide two properties under one roof, making it perfect as a large family home or indeed, an exciting opportunity to potentially create a unique letting business.

With stunning views spanning over the secluded garden to Loch Shiel and Ben Resipole, the property is nestled privately in around an acre of well stocked grounds. Offering a vegetable garden, wooded area and landscaped patio areas to both the front and rear, the garden is offset with mature trees and shrubs, providing colour and interest from season to season. A private driveway leads to a parking area whilst two garden sheds, both with light and power, and a greenhouse are include in the sale.

Location
Belmont is located within walking distance of the village of Acharacle, on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula. Acharacle is a thriving community offering a wide range of amenities including hotel, shops, post office, tearoom, doctors surgery and churches. The highly regarded primary school is located locally in the village, while the secondary school is some 8 miles away in the neighbouring village of Strontian.
