Property Description

SPECTACULAR BUILDING PLOT

Enjoying one of the most commanding elevated positions on the West Coast of Scotland, with panoramic views spanning over the sea to the Sound of Arisaig and Inner Isles, the subjects for sale form a spectacular building plot. The site, which has been levelled, extends to 1.6 Acres (0.68 Ha.) and benefits from Full Planning Permission for a detached property.

Situated in the much sought after location of Roshven, the plot offers some of the most outstanding and unspoilt coastline scenery on the shores of Loch Ailort. This idyllic location offers plenty of outdoor activities such as sea fishing, mountaineering, diving, canoeing and sailing – both on Lochailort and the Sound of Arisaig. Sited just three miles from the village of Glenuig, which offers a small shop, village hall, inn and public jetty, the property is also within some 30 minutes drive of Fort William with it’s full range of retail and professional services. Lochailort, just 5 minutes drive away, has a hotel and a railway station with a direct, thrice daily service to Glasgow and beyond.

Planning Permission

Full Planning Permission was granted on 16th March 2017 (Ref:17/00220/FUL) for the erection of a substantial detached 5 bedroom property. Copies of this Planning Permission and approved plans are available on the Highland Councils website or on request with the selling agent.

Services

It will be the purchaser’s responsibility to connect to the services. Drainage will be to a septic tank, which will be installed within the grounds. Water will be to a private supply and mains electricity is located close to the site.

Travel Directions

From Fort William proceed along the A830 ‘Road to the Isles’ towards Mallaig. Turn left at Lochailort (A861) and follow the coastline for around 6 miles to Roshven. The access road to the plot is on the left hand side where the main road opens to sea views. Proceed straight up the track and the plot is on the right hand side.
